How storage and privacy work
As a guest, or without cloud consent, recordings stay on your phone without a backup. Losing the phone means losing those recordings. With cloud consent, transcription, cards and Weaves run on Google Cloud.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. This is not end-to-end encryption. AI processes the words in your stories; it does not analyse voices or faces. No ads.
For the waitlist, we ask for an email. We also store the signup page, language, a hashed IP and browser information to prevent abuse.

What happens after I join?
We’ll email you about early access and founding-member pricing when they are ready. Joining requires no payment.
Where do I start?
Use a voice message you already have, or ask someone close to you about a moment they remember. Arloom suggests follow-up questions after each memory.
Is this also for someone I have lost?
Yes. Start with an old voice message, video or letter. You can also record people while they can still tell their stories themselves.
How is it different from a voice memo?
Arloom turns the transcript into a memory card linked to the people in it. Weaves helps you find stories and ask questions, with sources that lead back to your recordings.
Which languages does it support?
The app supports English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean and Arabic. Transcription supports more languages.
What is planned for later?
We’re planning illustrated card backs, animated photos and video card backs, plus saving a Memory Arc as a video. Private AI on the phone and a shared family archive are planned too. These features are not in the first release. We’ll announce dates when they are ready.
What if I need to record someone now?
Start with the phone you have and ask everyone for permission. You can import the recording into Arloom later. Read our free recording guide. Ask about urgent beta access.
