Delete your Arloom account

Arloom, by Creatiwi AI | Last updated: October 12, 2026

Short version

  • In the app, deleting your account takes effect at once and cannot be undone.
  • If you cannot open the app, email privacy@creatiwi.ai. We complete the request within 30 days.
  • A few records outlive the account. They are listed below, each with how long it stays.
  • Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store you bought it from.

1. Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest route, and it works the same on Android and on iOS.

  1. Open Arloom and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings and open the Danger Zone section.
  3. Choose "Delete My Account" and confirm.

If the app asks you to sign in again first, do that and repeat step 3. Before you delete, you can use "Export My Data" in the same part of Settings to download a copy of what the account holds.

"Clear My Data" in the same place is a smaller step: it deletes your content and keeps the account.

2. If you cannot open the app

You may have lost your phone, uninstalled the app or be locked out. In that case ask us by email.

  1. Write to privacy@creatiwi.ai, ideally from the email address you use to sign in to Arloom. The subject line "Delete my Arloom account" is enough.
  2. Tell us the email address of the account, and the sign-in method if you remember it (email and password, Google or Apple).
  3. We reply to the address registered on the account to confirm that the request is yours. Deleting an account cannot be undone, so we do not start before that confirmation. If you wrote from a different address, we may ask for further details.
  4. Once confirmed, we delete the account and tell you when it is done. This takes at most 30 days from your request.

There is no web form that deletes an account by itself. A page that deleted accounts without a signed-in user would let anyone delete someone else's memories.

If you only joined the waitlist on this website, you have no account. Email the same address, from or naming the address you signed up with, and we remove your waitlist entry. Section 1.9 of our Privacy Policy describes how that entry is kept.

3. What is deleted

When you delete the account in the app, the following is removed from our systems at that moment, not scheduled for later:

  • Your account and settings, including your consent records and subscription history
  • Your recordings and stored files, photos and documents
  • Your memories, nearlings, transcripts, AI insights and chats
  • Your family connections and invitations, and memories others shared with you
  • The search index built from your content, and AI task records
  • Your AI usage records, storage reservations, connection locks and the emails queued for you
  • A linked FamilySearch connection, if you made one
  • Your sign-in itself, so the same login no longer opens an account

Memories you shared with relatives disappear from their accounts. The copies of the card image, animated card and narration made for them stay in their storage until they clear their data or delete their own account.

Not live yet. The list above and the retention table below describe the version of the service that is being released. Until it reaches the live service, deleting an account does not remove the AI usage records, storage reservations, connection locks and queued emails, writes no account deletion record, and is not followed by the cleanup described next. Google Play notices that match no account keep the whole purchase token, with no expiry. We will remove this note when the new version is live, and Section 5.3 of the Privacy Policy carries the same notice.

After the deletion, another device that is still signed in to the account can save new items for up to about an hour, and processing that was already running can finish. A follow-up cleanup deletes those items too, usually within about two hours of the deletion.

If a deletion stops partway, what was already deleted stays deleted and the account remains. Delete it again to finish. If the app says it could not confirm the deletion and your account is still there, wait about an hour and a half before trying again.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Some records are not part of the account, or we are required or entitled to keep them. This is what stays after a deletion, with the retention of each:

What How long Why, and what it holds
Backup copies Up to 30 days after the deletion Encrypted disaster recovery backups. They age out; we do not restore from them to bring deleted data back
Records of one-time purchases (Google Play) No automatic expiry Order ID, product, purchase token, purchase state and the credits granted. Your account ID is replaced with a placeholder. They stay so the same purchase cannot be redeemed twice. Subscription purchase records are deleted with the account
Google Play notices about a subscription that was not cancelled 90 days after they arrive A one-way fingerprint of the purchase token, its first 20 characters, the product and the notice type. They hold no account ID. Until the new version is live, notices keep the whole purchase token and do not expire. Automatic removal is not yet switched on for the live service
Records of App Store purchases (iOS) Subscription records: up to about 21 months after the latest billing period began. Refund markers and one-time pack records: no expiry Apple's transaction identifiers, dates and product, with no account ID or name. They stay so a refunded or replaced purchase cannot be redeemed again. Automatic removal is not yet switched on for the live service
Account deletion record One day after the deletion Your account ID, the times the deletion ran and a random ID for that run. It stops a device that is still signed in from recreating the account. Automatic removal is not yet switched on for the live service
Server logs The logging service's retention period Can contain your account ID and short excerpts of a transcript. Deleting the account does not remove them
Anonymized analytics 14 months Usage metrics, collected only if you allowed analytics
Crash reports 90 days Diagnostic data used to fix bugs
Our emails with you about your privacy or support request 2 years The record that we received and handled your request
Copies on your own device Until you uninstall the app or clear its data Content stored Local Only, the offline chat history and the app's cached copies of your cloud data. We cannot reach your device, so you remove these yourself

Section 5.3 of our Privacy Policy is the authoritative retention schedule. It also notes where the version currently released to the live service still differs from the version it describes, so read it if you need the exact state today. Section 14.1 of our Terms of Service covers the same ground from the contract side.

5. Subscriptions

Deleting your Arloom account does not cancel a subscription or refund it. Cancel it in the store you bought it from (Google Play or the Apple App Store) before you delete, or afterwards: the store keeps billing until you do. Refunds follow Apple's and Google's refund policies.
